It’s that time of year again- the time where the mosquitos come out of their hiding places and try to ruin our good summertime fun! The typical method to repel them is a citronella candle. Citronella works by masking the scent of carbon dioxide and lactic acid in humans, which are the scents that attract mosquitos. It is all natural and made from the distilled oils from several varieties of grass. Little did you know, they are very easy to make!
Here is an easy DIY mosquito repellant candle-
• Mason Jars
• Floating Candles
• Sprigs of Rosemary
• Slices of Lemon
• Citronella essential oil Instructions:
1. Place a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon in each jar
2. Fill the jar with about ¾ of the way with water
3. Add 10-15 drops of citronella essential oil into the water
4. Place a floating candle in the top of the jar and light it
5. Have mosquito-free fun!
