Popcorn is acceptable on GOLO! It is considered a carb so you would want to pair it with a protein (like a handful of nuts) or a fat (1 Tbsp. coconut oil is good or 1 tsp. butter).
We suggest air popped and not microwave (lots of nasty chemicals hang out in that bag).
The serving size is 1-2 cups popped.
Try some of these ideas!
- Add a dusting of cinnamon for a sweet treat
- Add olive oil, basil, parsley, garlic powder and Parmesan for an Italian taste
- Add chili powder for some spice
- Add nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor
- Mix your nuts in with your popcorn to make your own trail mix
